A workaholic, colloquially, is a person who is addicted to work. This phrase does not always imply that the person actually enjoys their work, but rather simply feels compelled to do it. There is no generally accepted medical definition of such a condition, although some forms of stress, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder can be work-related. Although the term "workaholic" usually has a negative connotation, it is sometimes used by people wishing to express their devotion to one's career in positive terms. The "work" in question is usually associated with a paying job, but it may also refer to independent pursuits such as sports, music and art. A "workaholic" in the negative sense is popularly characterized by a neglect of family and other social relations.
Workaholism in Japan is considered a serious social problem leading to early death, often on the job, a phenomenon dubbed karōshi.

Workaholics Give Until it Hurts

work addicts often see themselves as overly responsible, too generous, very committed, and completely selbstaufopfernde. They see themselves as martyrs unnoticed.

The truth is that all their sacrifice themselves to serve. Workaholics have to the universe, because they were in an out-of-control environment. In her family of origin, work addicts learned the lesson that what you are doing is more important than the question of who you are.

In the end, luck and spontaneity can return as workaholics experience of care, support and care they have missed as children.

Three Types of Workaholics - Which One Are You?

Work Addiction is a subset of Codependency, and the behavior of the addicts are working in childhood learned.

addicts working as a general rule have parents who do not allow their children to have a strong sense of identity. In return, children learn methods, the survival have to do with their dependence on the actions and behavior of others. That means that instead of trying to please yourself first, they are intensely aware and try to control the reactions of others.

This results in three different behaviors workaholic.

Type 1 is the self-sacrificing full workaholic who is going to last and all the extreme please and impress a dominant, parent-type person at work. (The dominant person may not be older or even especially parents, only to be able to wage a workaholic with permission.)

Type 2 is the dominant workaholic who does not care if they liked, but must be seen as competent . You can aggressive and arrogant. You are looking for respect.

Type 3 is the retired workaholic who prefer to work alone. They work hard and want to be used and approved, but do not want to be controlled or dominated. They prefer to adapt their emotional distance from the others.

All three types of workaholic fear of rejection, criticism and abandonment and react in different ways when they feel threatened. The common a thread that runs through all three types is the need to control - both themselves and others.

Type 1 - the self-sacrifice, and Type 2 - the dominant, often surround themselves with weak or vulnerable people. So they can rescue the needy person and feel needed (Type 1) or intimidation to dominate and the needy person (Type 2). Type 3, the retired person who has no interest in needy people, and just prefers to be left alone to do their work.

A workaholic May, only one or a combination of several of these behaviors, depending on the situation.

Workaholics: Extreme Workers

In 23 May 2007 edition of the IHT it appeared in a feature article about the growing number of addicts working in our country. My experience with my clients confirms that there is an epidemic in the workplace, where employees are given the graeren tasks and then achieve increased performance by them for their hides, more time than by acquiring better time - Management skills to learn how to learn more in less time.

About 60% of high income groups more than 50 hours per week and complain that their health and suffering from sleep, as well as their relationships with their spouses and children. About 35% of the workers there to leave some time to work more and more and one third of respondents felt guilty about the time off.

Second, a regular, hard look at your list and identify the elements that can be delegated. There is a big difference between "I do it" and "It is being done." What is important is that it is done. And the hardest part to delegate is simply letting go, especially for Extreme Workers.

Working at home is really nice. There are a lot of advantages, which can be found. Home employment is often claimed to have a negative impact on employees' career advancement, presumably because the supervisors tend to negative evaluation of the performance of the employees whose activities are not available to frequent observation. However, such claims are usually based on studies of supervisors' attitudes, not on direct evidence for the achievements of employees who work outside the office environment. Working at home is not an entitlement for staff who wish to telecommute. The first consideration is the type of position, which shall be so designed that the face-to-face interaction is minimal or can be scheduled to telework. teleworking companies develop programs to benefit both the company and its employees. But to work Home is not as simple as a computer somewhere in the apartment and beginning to work. Enterprises have many contracts and need workers, their production requirements.

Businesses are always smarter about their spending. It really makes sense to have staff to Home from work to the need for a ebermaigen office space, supplies and utility payments. Business Start-ups need money, but not employment. This includes legitimate work-at-home job databases, the cargo, but do not assume any responsibility or "sell" you a job.
