A "workaholic" in the negative sense is popularly characterized by a neglect of family and other social relations.

The Loser, the Workaholic, and the Home Based Business Opportunity

This is a fairy tale that takes place, Anytown, USA.

You know the characters. Both days are always dreams of a better life. A life free from work. A life free of debt. A life enjoyed by family.

Both go after their dreams, but in different ways.

Shortly after college degree, the workaholic offered his "dream job". Nine to five with holidays and two weeks vacation per year. The payment was not too much to start, but there were miles off him on the corporate management ladder. Everything he had to do was climb and a better life waited with step.

The each person has a similar offer to another company. The hours were a bit different, eight to four. Other than that, you could not really see the difference without reading the company outside the office.

Day after day, they both climbed the ladder. Then, after a few years ago, they both realized they were working 10 hours a day instead 8.

The workaholic pressed. "If I just suck it a few years, I am at the top with the life I want for my family," said the Workaholic.

The person took a different approach. He heard climbing. Instead, he spent his evenings building a house on the basis of the workaholic business.

When saw what was the loser, he ignored him. "These things never work! Throwing your money away! You'll never amount to anything!" , Said the Workaholic.

The person was in fact violated by these comments, but he pressed on. You see, at this point, which was a workaholic, more money than the losers, but the workaholic was spending all its time in work.

A little while later, the person and his wife were at a school play. All parents were there. Well, almost all them.

The person found the workaholic's wife and daughter. "Where is the workaholic?" asked the Loser.

"Oh ... he had to work ... it's okay, I have a video cassette for him. He said he thinks he can see it sometime next week," says the workaholic wife . "How is home business, what you going?"

"Oh, it's okay. Workaholic and I do roughly the same amount of money."

"That's nice, but it must be hard to lose money every time you take a week, is not it?"

"I can not lose. I get paid, even if I did not work."

"Well , Enjoy it while it lasts. My husband works for a solid income and pension. At the end of this main business things never work, Loser. "

The years passed and the differences remain graer and larger.

The retired young person ... very young. In fact, his children were not yet in high school, when he retired.

The person had more money than in almost everyone in the city. The loser was able to spend so much time with his family as he wanted, and enjoy life on his own terms.

The losers was primarily due to several charity organizations, which he supported. Throughout the city, he was aware, and the most generous human being living in Anytown.

The workaholic kept climbing. He misses his children grow up. He was not there when it benefits the school. He was not there when they had birthday. He almost missed their graduation.

Every step of the way he was promised a better life, so he kept climbing. But with every step made him more a slave to be job.

Even if it was overloaded and expenditure over 12 hours a day at the office, he could not stop. If he did, he would be fired. Then would he do?

Sadly, the pension he was promised never came. The economy took a downward turn, or so he was told. The few years of financial security he had sacrificed his life ended for a illusion.

It would not much matter. The workaholic had pushed so hard that he had only a short time. When he realized his life had come to an end, everything he could think was, as he never really knew his family. He missed all major events in his children's lives.

Looking out the window, he saw what he thought was the loser in the park he was now old but still active. It was time with his grandchildren how he invested his own time in children.

The workaholic turned his back and had finally taken the view that perhaps the loser was really not a loser after all.

Stress And Workaholism - What Everybody Should Know

Workaholism spreads like a terrible disease. Are you a workaholic? I was, until I realized I was killing me for a company that cut of human resources at every opportunity. My ex-boss is a workaholic and as far as I can see he is not a very happy existence. I now work three days a week and very pleased that I managed to escape!

Many of us grew up in families and societies where the Protestant work ethic was very strong. Maiggang leisure, work is a good thing, but for work, is the best! If you work for is the driving force in your life and you have no time or interest in anything else, then you are probably a workaholic! But this addiction is not easily cured, and I think it's more like a terminal illness.

"Get a Life" is a common expression and actually it should be on every desk workaholic! I had a different boss ausgekundschaftet the office occasionally to find paper to long working hours and would suggest that they go home! He could demonstrate that it time for his family and loved ones and that another life existed outside his company office.

How many companies do you know that stress at work and effectively in practice? Only very few, I suspect, and the sad fact is that work is rewarded in narcotic business and promotion is often the result. The problem for the company, however, that work, is a contagious disease and highly contagious. The management chain will demand more and more as appropriate and productivity is suffer.

Faster promotion and high salaries are the carrots held the workaholic, his adrenaline, and this is part of the addiction. Workaholics recently were surveyed and 38%, they claimed to $ 100000 plus per year. Only 22% of people in lower salaries or claimed they stressed workaholics. The workaholic has problems with his colleagues and is usually very poor and work.

Stress to delegate work, go hand in hand. The workaholic is suffering from a series of stress disorders, which is something of panic attacks, ulcers, burnout and high blood pressure. Depression is behind its ugly head and can sometimes lead to suicide. The workaholic is more and more dependent on its adrenaline rush. The end result is often a fatal disease such as a heart attack or stroke.

The number of divorces among workaholics is much higher than in any other category. Not surprising that the workaholic can not devote any time to the marriage. Family members are under depression and have a lower self-esteem. The advantages of a higher salary can be considerable, a good way of life, but at what price?

The first step in dealing with the work, is the recognition that there is a problem. Are you from work? Is your boss driving you too hard and you in turn are affected by his illness? Time to decide what to do, before you make another victim. Your family will thank you for it.
