A workaholic, colloquially, is a person who is addicted to work. This phrase does not always imply that the person actually enjoys their work, but rather simply feels compelled to do it. There is no generally accepted medical definition of such a condition, although some forms of stress, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder can be work-related. Although the term "workaholic" usually has a negative connotation, it is sometimes used by people wishing to express their devotion to one's career in positive terms. The "work" in question is usually associated with a paying job, but it may also refer to independent pursuits such as sports, music and art. A "workaholic" in the negative sense is popularly characterized by a neglect of family and other social relations.
Workaholism in Japan is considered a serious social problem leading to early death, often on the job, a phenomenon dubbed karōshi.

How easy it can be to get caught with so much work that at the end. With the drive, or need, we work long hours, sometimes even days, always made to the important jobs or earn extra money that we need for living. These little evidence, as your body memory lapses, los "autopilot" or irritable all the characters you need time to chill out. Although it is noble and praiseworthy that a strong work ethic, we all need to look over some years down time to recharge our health and stamina.

Do something away from, and not on your offer. Have you forgotten about the responsibility and the key decision-unless it has to do with recreation. Among the family and do something fun together, is a good way to unwind and remind you why you work so hard in the first place. Choose an activity that you do not normally think of doing. Break out of the everyday and let go. They always drive past the beach, but living in the vicinity? Then, a trip there is a must. Stop and enjoy bing from the natural world for a while. Really soak in everything you see how the birds fly, or the flowers in your garden. Or, if you normally cook, go to a restaurant and let someone else make dinner for a change.

Playing with your pets is big and therapy for you. Have you threw a ball for your dog, drawn or a toy on a string for your cat lately? Make a place to stop and for more than a few minutes. Really until your pet is tired. My cat usually will be very nocturnal sleep through the night when I wear it with enough play during the day, at least once a week. They have a good deed and filled your pet play rate (hopefully) for the week, and you can have a little fun, to do something that no other purpose than to make someone else's day. Your pet will thank you for it.

If you only need to do something productive and functional work to forget, then as a last resort, something clean. Or, a bunch of clean somethings. If it makes you happy, then do it. I agree with nuts and the Organization of the housework, when the urge hits productivity, not stopping until the project is fully completed. Cleaning up in the house, or working in the yard can be a good way to burn off steam and have something to show for it later. Go ahead, vacuum, dust and polish or mow your heart's desire. Physical activity is always positive effect on your heart and mind. Sustained exercise can also contribute to the production of natural feel-good chemicals called endorphins in your body. This may hurt the feelings of fear and depession. Combined with the proper eating habits, you sit down for a good week of work by rejeuvenating your mind and body in the same time.

Forgetting work for a while, not irresponsible or careless. My family tends to think workaholic. I know first-hand how difficult it may be for someone who usually for thinking about the work to relax. Treat yourself to a mini-vacation and improve the quality of your life by diverting your attention to something else. In the end, your family as a whole will benefit. One person, rested and happy is a lot more pleasant around. We have only one life, so it is important to stop and smell the roses. The work is not everything, even if it sometimes feels this way. Go ahead, curious away from the desktop, you can do it. And at the end, you will be glad that you did.
